Caribbean Foods Limited, manufacturers of Jamaica’s favourite oats, Foska Oats, has experienced savings as a result of the strengthening of the Jamaican dollar and has announced that it will pass on these savings in new reduced pricing. This is in keeping with adjustments being made by several local manufacturers at this time based on the revaluation of the Jamaican Dollar.
“A total of a 5% price reduction on Foska Oats will be passed on directly to consumers of this staple product” said John Ramson, Managing Director of Chas. E. Ramson Limited, distributors of Foska Oats. “Given all the economic and social challenges being experienced at this time, a price reduction of this magnitude is quite timely and beneficial to all.” He explained. The new prices on Foska Oats took effect Monday, June 21, 2010 and are expected to filter into most outlets by the weekend.
